Construction works at Bugsby's Reach Plaistow & Royal Primrose Wharf

08 Feb 2022 / London/River Thames, United Kingdom

On or about 28 February, contractors working on behalf of Port of London Authority will commence works on the removal of timber dolphins, the installation of a gabion campshed and bed levelling at Plaistow and Royal Primrose Wharf.

These works will be undertaken by spud barge HAVEN SEAFORTH moored as shown below supported by delivery barges and tugs, as necessary. Working hours are expected to be 07:30 to 17:30 Monday to Saturday and expected to last for one-month.

All vessels associated with the works will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 14.

Vessels are to be particularly mindful of their wash and draw-off when the barges are grounding or fleeting. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’.

Safety boat and site tug FELUCCA will be on station during working hours and maintain a watch on VHF Channel 14.

Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
