Construction work at Tanjong Kling

Construction work is being carried out at Tanjong Kling until 31 December.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.64 of 2024, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 18.251'N / 103° 42.085'E
2) 01° 18.053'N / 103° 42.093'E
3) 01° 18.065'N / 103° 42.370'E
4) 01° 18.033'N / 103° 42.370'E
5) 01° 18.040'N / 103° 42.593'E
6) 01° 18.410'N / 103° 42.582'E
7) 01° 18.412'N / 103° 42.618'E
8) 01° 18.487'N / 103° 42.617'E

Construction work involves dredging of seabed, transport and discharge of dredged material, installation of cofferdam, sand backfilling and reinstatement of foreshore structures.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
