Construction of the Hong Kong Link Road - Establishment of Height Restriction and Temporary Diversion of the Navigation Channel at the Airport Channel

With effect from 28 September 2016 and for a period of approximately 5 months, to facilitate the construction of the deck span of the bridge of the Hong Kong Link Road across the Airport Channel, the air draught of vessels passing underneath this bridge will be limited to 10.55 metres, and a section of the navigation channel at the Airport Channel will be temporarily diverted southwards from 1830 hours daily except Sundays and public holidays to 0800 hours of the next day.

The diverted navigation channel is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (F):

The width and depth of the diverted navigation channel is about 46.0 metres and 2.0 metres (Chart Datum) respectively.

A yellow marker buoy fitted with yellow flashing light will be laid at position (C).

Guard boats will be stationed in the vicinity of both eastern and western ends of the diverted navigation channel to give necessary guidance to the vessels using this navigation channel.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
