Construction of temporary RORO ramp

The working period for the construction of a RORO ramp at Tuas South has been extended. The work is now being conducted from 28 August 2022 to 27 February 2023.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.058 of 2022, the work is being carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 17.235'N / 103° 38.991'E
2) 01° 17.187'N / 103° 39.017'E
3) 01° 17.163'N / 103° 38.969'E
4) 01° 17.210'N / 103° 38.943'E

The construction of the RORO ramp will be carried out by hopper and work barges assisted by land excavators.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
