Construction of temporary loading jetty & dredging

The working period for construction of a temporary loading jetty and dredging off Changi East has been extended and the work areas revised.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.42 of 2023, the works are now being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - 15 May to 14 November, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The loading jetty will be constructed from the land by dump trucks and excavators. Dredging works will be carried out prior to the construction of the jetty.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the dredging operations.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
