Construction of subsea pipeline at Urmston Road

For approximately four months, construction of subsea pipeline [is being] carried out along the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (G):
(A) 22° 25.312’N 113° 53.631’E
(B) 22° 25.282’N 113° 53.504’E
(C) 22° 25.150’N 113° 53.056’E
(D) 22° 24.925’N 113° 52.631’E
(E) 22° 24.557’N 113° 52.342’E
(F) 22° 24.111’N 113° 52.242’E
(G) 22° 23.337’N 113° 52.246’E

The works [are being] carried out by one flat top barge and one hopper barge.

One dumb lighter, one special purpose vessel, one tugboat and two guard boats provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around each barge is established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors are laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the barges.

A silt curtain fitted with yellow flashing lights is established within the works area. The silt curtain is a large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments.

The hours of work are round-the-clock.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
