From 23 September 2024 to 23 March 2025, sheet pile construction work will be carried out near East Coast Lagoon, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°18·276'N / 103°55·749'E
2) 01°18·243'N / 103°55·753'E
3) 01°18·248'N / 103°55·781'E
4) 01°18·271'N / 103°55·778'E
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.74 of 2024, the works will involve construction of the temporary drain diversion, installation of sheet piles laying of rip rap and scouring would be carried out from the landward side only.
The work will be conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays and public holidays.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
1) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
2) Maintain a proper lookout;
3) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
4) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
5) Communicate with VHF Channel 12 (East Control) for assistance if required.
