Construction of new jetty off Police Coast Guard Base (Lim Chu Kang)

From 16 April to 15 October, a new jetty is being constructed off the Police Coast Guard Base (Lim Chu Kang).

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.032 of 2021 dated 16 April 2021, the work is being carried out 0800 to 2200 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°26·779'N / 103°42·270'E
2) 01°26·834'N / 103°42·339'E
3) 01°26·789'N / 103°42·375'E
4) 01°26·757'N / 103°42·371'E
5) 01°26·736'N / 103°42·377'E
6) 01°26·706'N / 103°42·401'E
7) 01°26·670'N / 103°42·356'E

A new jetty will be installed by using cane barges with the support of tugboats. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
