Construction of marine viaduct off Woodlands Jetty

The working period for marine construction works for a marine viaduct off Woodland Jetty has been extended and the work will now continue until 9 October.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.43 of 2025, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates:

Construction of marine viaduct is being carried out using barges and assisted by tugboats.

A temporary navigation channel of 50 meters in width is located within the Singapore Port Limits. Vessels with beam of more than 10 meters and heights of more than 20 meters are not allowed to transit the channel.

A safety boat is deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control); and Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
