Construction of marine viaduct

Work to construct a marine viaduct is being carried out off Woodlands Jetty until 27 September.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.024 of 2022 dated 28 March 2022, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1° 27.592'N / 103° 46.838'E
2) 1° 27.453'N / 103° 46.928'E
3) 1° 27.431'N / 103°46.943’E
4) 1° 27.351'N / 103°46.994’E
5) 1° 27.297'N / 103°46.931’E
6) 1° 27.309'N / 103°46.885’E
7) 1° 27.368’N / 103°46.847’E
8) 1° 27.391'N / 103°46.832’E
9) 1° 27.531'N / 103°46.742’E

Construction of marine viaduct will be carried out using barges. A tug boat will be deployed to assist to set up the barges at working location. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
