Construction of marine facilities at Tuas Western Coast

Construction of marine facilities is being conducted at Tuas Western Coast until 7 September.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.17 of 2024, the works are being caried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays and public holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1°19.284'N / 103°37.346'E
2) 1°19.318'N / 103°37.299'E
3) 1°19.484'N / 103°37.408'E
4) 1°19.452'N / 103°37.452'E

Repair works are being carried out using work barges assisted by tugboats. A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
1) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
2) Maintain a proper lookout;
3) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
4) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
5) Communicate with VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control) for assistance if required.
