Construction of jetty at Tuas View

The working period for the construction of the jetty at Tuas View has been extended and the list of craft and working areas has been revised.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Circular No.80 of 2020 dated 27 October 2020, the work will now be conducted from 01 Nov 2020 to 30 Apr 2021 within the working area bounded by the following coordinates:

Working Area A

5) 01°16·704'N / 103°38·861'E

Working Area B

Work will be conducted from 0700 hours to 1900 hours from Monday to Saturday and 0730 hours to 1800 hours on Sundays and Public Holidays.

The construction of jetty involves dredging, piling, steel and concrete structural work. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the work. Crafts involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:

a) Keep well clear of the working area;

b) Maintain a proper lookout;

c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;

d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and

e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
