Construction of containment bunds at Tuas View Extension

From 1 April to 1 October, work is being conducted at Tuas View Extension to construct containment bunds.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.36 of 2025, the works are being conducted 24 hours - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°13.296’N / 103°38.376’E
2) 01°13.296’N / 103°39.415’E
3) 01°13.036'N / 103°39.512’E
4) 01°12.660'N / 103°38.680’E

The work involves transporting and dumping of sand material with the use of hopper barges and dredgers to the stockpile area.

The sand will be transferred from the stockpile area by hopper barges and tugboats to be discharged at the sand bund site.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
