Construction of berth structure at OMC 2 waterfront

The working period for the construction of a berth structure at the OMC 2 waterfront has been extended. The work will now be carried out from 10 February to 2 April.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.12 of 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - in the vicinity of Tuas West coast, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01° 19.402'N / 103° 37.420'E
B) 01° 19.430'N / 103° 37.375'E
C) 01° 19.527'N / 103° 37.435'E
D) 01° 19.498'N / 103° 37.481'E

The construction work involves dredging/dumping, slope revetment, scour protection fender and cathodic protection installation.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
