Construction & upgrading of barge jetty

From 22 February to 15 April, construction upgrading work will be carried out at the existing barge jetty at Pulau Sebarok.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.011 of 2021, the work will be conducted from 0800 to 1900 daily - including Sundays & Public Holiday - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°12·460'N / 103°47·4655'E
2) 01°12·502'N / 103°47·445'E
3) 01°12·5135'N / 103°47·475'E
4) 01°12·475'N / 103°47·495'E

A crane barge assisted by the tugs, will be used for the construction and upgrading of concrete works and installation of jetty structural elements. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control for assistance, if required.
