Commissioning of liquid berths

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has announced the commissioning of LB03 & LB04 for handling liquid cargo.

The addition of these two new berths is expected to reduce the congestion situation at the port.

Pipelines have been laid for handling of only edible oil cargo, and the first vessel is expected to berth at LB03 tomorrow (5 March).

Berth restrictions at the berths are as follows:

LB03
- LOA: Not exceeding 225m
- Displacement: Not exceeding 90000 MT
- Parallel Body Length (PBL): Minimum 66m
- Draft: Not exceeding 12m

LB04
- LOA: Not exceeding 160m
- Displacement: Not exceeding 45000 MT
- Parallel Body Length (PBL): Minimum 66m
- Draft: Not exceeding 10m
