Collection of shipowner royalties

The State of Cameroon has instituted the collection of the shipowner royalty from consignees on behalf of shipowners, from 1 January 2025, with retroactive effect.

This shipowner fee is applicable to all shipowners transporting cargo to or from Cameroon.

The shipowner is required to pay the Cameroon State a commission for participation in the remuneration of its services, the rate of which is fixed as follows:
- 800 CFA francs per ton unloaded for import (1.22 Euro per metric ton)
- 600 CFA francs per ton loaded for export (0.915 Euro per metric ton)
(ROE: 1 Euro = 655.957 CFA francs)
