Clearing of seabed

Seabed clearing works for proposed waterfront developments at 8 Sentosa Gateway Southern Island Planning Area are being conducted until 30 May.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.10 of 2025, the work is being carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays - at sea, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1°15’.33.30”N / 103°49’.12.82”E
2) 1°15’.35.08”N / 103°49’.19.38”E
3) 1°15'.35.08” N / 103°49’.23.30”E

The work involves clearing of debris and armoured rocks for the preparation of marine piles installation works. The retrieval of these debris and armoured rocks will be carried out using work barges with lifting crane or excavators.

A safety tug will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 05 (Cruise Bay Control); and communicate with Cruise Bay Control for assistance, if required.
