Changes to Pakistan Covid-19 regulations

In addition to extending the validity of Category C listed countries (see HPN, 14 June 2021) until 31 August 2021, the Federal Government of Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the following stipulations for international inbound passengers, with effect from today:

  • All inbound passengers aged 6 and above will be required to possess a valid negative PCR test result, conducted within 72 hours prior to commencement of travel to Pakistan
  • All arriving passengers aged 6 and above will be tested through Rapid Antigen Testing upon arrival in Pakistan
  • Positive testing passengers between the ages of 6 and 12 years will be Home Quarantined under the supervision of concerned Civil Administration
  • Positive testing passengers above 12 years of age will continue to be quarantined at a designated facility as per current procedures

Arriving passengers may also be subjected to additional stipulations upon arrival in Pakistan.

Additionally, the UAE Authorities (NCEMA) have revised COVID-19 guidelines for passengers travelling from Pakistan to Dubai. For Dubai terminating passengers from Pakistan, a negative PCR test result conducted within 48 hours prior to commencement of travel to Dubai, along with a negative Rapid PCR test result conducted within 4 hours (or as determined by UAE NCEMA) prior to departure of flight for Dubai has been made mandatory.
