Cable laying work off Changi East

Cable laying work is being conducted off Changi East until 25 November.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.035 Of 2022, the work is being carried out from 0700 to 1800 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 18.712'N / 104° 00.159'E
2) 01° 18.701'N / 104° 00.179'E
3) 01° 18.359'N / 104° 00.443'E
4) 01° 17.014'N / 104° 02.721'E
5) 01° 16.982'N / 104° 02.541'E
6) 01° 18.274'N / 104° 00.359'E
7) 01° 18.606'N / 104° 00.107'E
8) 01° 18.609'N / 104° 00.101'E

The cable laying work will be carried out by a cable laying barge and supported by tug boats.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
