Boat race off National Service Resort & Country Club Sea Sports Centre

The Singapore Power Boat Association (SPBA) and the Asia Powerboat Association (APA) will be organising the Singapore Asia Boat Race off the National Service Resort & Country Club Sea Sports Centre from 4 November to 6 November.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 43 (c) of the MARITIME AND PORT AUTHORITY OF SINGAPORE ACT (CHAPTER 170A), the Port Master hereby prohibits all vessels, unless authorized by the Port Master, from entering, anchoring, mooring, transiting or being in the area.

The demarcated area is bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01˚ 18.997'N / 103˚ 58.329'E
B) 01˚ 18.714'N / 103˚ 58.361'E
C) 01˚ 18.610'N / 103˚ 58.689'E
D) 01˚ 18.725'N / 103˚ 59.038'E

The dates and times during which the Prohibited Area will be brought into effect are as follows:

  • 04 Nov 2022 1400hrs - 1800hrs
  • 05 Nov 2022 0915hrs - 1800hrs
  • 06 Nov 2022 0915hrs - 1800hrs

Marshalling boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the prohibited area.

When in the vicinity, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep clear of the prohibited area, and the holding area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
