The port of Novorossiysk was closed today (11 March), due to very bad weather.
Today saw winds of up to 35m/sec with snow, blizzard, ice on the roads, sea swell of 1.5-2.5m, soaring sea and icing of ships and berths. Gale warning #11 was declared in the Novorossiysk area at 12:00 hours local time today.
The bad weather is expected to continue tomorrow (12 March). A gale warning may be declared, and port authorities will prohibit bunkering operations and service boat launch.
