Around The Island Rowing Boat Race

A rowing boat race will take place around Hong Kong Island on 18 and 19 November 2023 (Saturday and Sunday). About 20 rowing boats and 20 support boats are expected to participate in both days of the race.

The rowing boats will set off at 0800 hours outside the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, then follow a route around Hong Kong Island in a clockwise direction, and finish the race at the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter by 1500 hours.

Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.
