Marine Berth Leasing Contract attestation services launched

As part of the continuous improvement and offering the best services to our community, Abu Dhabi Maritime is pleased to announce that the “attestation of Marina Berth Leasing Contract” services are now active started from 10 August 2022, where users will be able to attest, renew, amend and/or cancel such contracts through these services.

All owners, charterers and operators of private and commercial Recreational Marine crafts (berth lessee) and marinas operating and management companies (berth lessor) to start using the online portal designated for this purpose with immediate effect.

All the required procedures between the lessee and the lessor with regard to the submission of the application, completing the required information and documents as well as the process of fees payment, will take place using this platform, through which both parties acknowledge the acceptance of the terms and conditions, knowing that consents for digital signature (through UAE PASS) will be requested during the completion of the application process.

Required Documents:

  1. Valid copy of the Emirates ID card and copy of the passport for the owner/charterer of the Marine Craft with the residence visa for foreigners.
  2. Valid insurance of the marine craft.
  3. Valid copy of the registration certificate of the marine craft.
  4. Valid copy of the commercial/trade license for operators.
  5. Any additional terms and conditions as agreed and signed by both parties.
  6. Power of attorney in favor of the applicant if the applicant is not the owner.

This initiative aims to provide comprehensive and integrated services and standardizing marina berth leasing contracts in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi while saving time, simplifying procedures, and creating an official, accurate and unified database for all those marinas.

All marinas operating and management companies are required to start using the services as well as to tart attesting all valid existing contracts and embedding it into the system within 3 months from the date of issuing the circular.
