15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships

The 15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships (ADBC) will take place in the Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter between 0800 hours and 1700 hours from 11 to 13 October 2024. Over 180 dragon boat teams from local and overseas with 900 paddlers will take part in various races at the ADBC.

The race area is bounded by straight lines joining the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (F) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 18.506’N / 114 deg. 13.202’E
(B) 22 deg. 18.490’N / 114 deg. 13.141’E
(C) 22 deg. 18.524’N / 114 deg. 13.114’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.734’N / 114 deg. 12.930’E
(E) 22 deg. 18.766’N / 114 deg. 12.896’E
(F) 22 deg. 18.801’N / 114 deg. 12.939’E

The lateral mark buoy “KTTS2” in the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) will be temporarily withdrawn from 8 to 13 October 2024:

(A) 22 deg. 18.671’N / 114 deg. 12.989’E

The race area will be established from 0700 hours on 7 October 2024 to 1800 hours on 14 October 2024. Yellow buoys will be laid to mark the limit of the race area. During the aforementioned period, no vessels, other than those craft that participating the ADBC or Government launches, will be allowed to enter or remain within the race area. All vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.

Within the race area, floating structures will be secured to the landing steps No. KP058 from 0700 hours on 8 October 2024 to 1800 hours on 14 October 2024. All floating structures placed within the race area will be remained in the race area outside the hours of the race. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to keep away from the floating structures and use other landing steps in the vicinity.
