Freight Services

Freight services by sea, air or land

Sea Freight

Our contracts with many of the world’s leading ocean carriers covering key trades to/from Asia, USA, Middle East, Europe and Africa enable us to offer the best deals in terms of delivery and cost and secure priority on loading.

We undertake the entire operation for the shipment, both FCL (Full Container Loads) and LCL (Less than Container Loads), including preparation and processing of shipment documentation, stuffing/unstuffing of containers, packing, loading, unloading, storage and delivery. All operations are carried out taking into consideration any special characteristics of the goods in question and in particular any dangerous elements.

Customers are kept informed of the progress of their shipment via notifications and status reports. They can also gain direct access to accurate tracking information through our logistics software.

Cargo insurance can be offered in-house at very competitive rates to suit our customers’ needs and offer peace of mind until the cargo is delivered to destination.

Air Freight

As a certified IATA Cargo Agent, GAC Cyprus can give our customers priority access to competitive rates and space allocations. We provide a competitive service tailored to meet individual needs and deliver cargo to any location worldwide served by an airport. Our highly experienced team can prepare and process all documentation, including dangerous goods.

We offer door-to-door service including collection, packing, labelling, customs clearance and delivery to destination, which customers can track online. Consolidation and charter services are also available.

We can advise on suitable insurance cover and process any cargo claims to ensure that our customers receive their valuable cargo in accordance with their expectations.

Customs Clearance

GAC Cyprus offers in-house customs clearance services for inbound and outbound cargo for both sea and air shipments. We ensure that all cargo is cleared from customs within 24 hours from time of receipt of all documentation, whether of European or non-European origin, under status ‘in transit’, temporary importation, or otherwise.

We prepare and retain in record all documents required for the importation or exportation of shipments in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and can assist with visits and inspections from the port and customs authorities to ensure that all files are properly closed. GAC Cyprus can also arrange for the prompt settlement of duties and taxes on behalf of customers.

Contract Logistics

Upon request, GAC Cyprus can provide closed and open storage services, including collection of materials, receipt, management and storage in suitable facilities controlled by experienced personnel and using the appropriate electronic system to support our customers’ needs. We can provide daily inventory management reports of all materials and equipment or alternatively give our customers the ability to monitor progress by themselves by way of online tracking through our GAC bespoke software.

Land Transportation

All freight moved by road is handled according to the specific requirements of each individual customer. Cargo is collected from the vessel, airport or place of business using suitable equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient transportation to its destination whilst ensuring adherence to predefined operational schedule and expectations.

Any third-party transporter used will be approved subcontracted service providers who meet the quality standards set by GAC Cyprus.
